Riparian Restoration Plan, Clay Creek, Ashland, Oregon
Client: Meadowbrook Homeowners Assocation
The Clay Creek riparian restoration plan was completed by NBC in August 2013 for the Meadowbrook Homeowners Association in Ashland, Oregon. The plan is required by the City of Ashland as part of their Riparian Ordinance. The plan was needed because a number of mature cottonwood trees located along Clay Creek are considered hazard trees and were approved for removal by the City. The removal requires an approved riparian restoration plan to replace the mature trees that will be removed. The plan includes the following elements:
- A map of the site with the locations of all the trees that are slated for removal
- A drawing of the site that illustrates the necessary areas along the creek which require grading and site preparation
- A map illustrating the location of the floodway boundaries on the site
- A narrative which explains the planting process and a list of native plants
- A planting plan which illustrates the type of plants and location along Clay Creek
- The grading and riparian planting will occur in October of 2013
